Mobile Jib Crane
Introduction:
Mobile jib cranes are characterized by their flexibility, mobility, and broad adaptability. They serve as essential standalone emergency lifting units for automated production lines, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations. Users can position them according to specific production line load requirements; they require no embedded foundation, are easy to maneuver, and help boost work efficiency.

The mobile jib crane is a type of small-to-medium-sized lifting equipment developed in recent years, suitable for short-distance, high-frequency material handling. Compared to conventional lifting equipment, mobile jib cranes offer greater flexibility, a wider range of applications, and superior convenience. They can be moved freely across smooth work surfaces by manual pushing, making them ideal for locations where fixed overhead cranes are impractical. They are an excellent choice for enterprises handling loading, unloading, maintenance, and installation tasks.
Mobile Jib Crane Pricing:
Thanks to their flexibility and adaptability, mobile jib cranes are widely used by modern enterprises as essential standalone emergency lifting units for automated production lines, serving as ideal equipment for loading, unloading, maintenance, and installation. So, what is the current market price range for mobile jib cranes? Let’s take a brief look.
Extensive market research indicates that prices for mobile jib cranes generally range from several thousand to tens of thousands of yuan. As costs are influenced by factors such as product design, materials, functionality, and model specifications, there is no single fixed price. The mast features a hexagonal frustum design, with verticality adjusted via four sets of threaded rods at the base;
Electrical system includes plug-in sockets, collector slip rings, round cables, and support conduits; for jib arm lengths exceeding 3 meters, an internal trolley-based cable system is used for power transmission;
Available with either manual or electric travel trolleys;
Slewing mechanism utilizes rolling bearings for smooth manual rotation;
Features an internal travel mechanism with rolling-bearing wheels, ensuring low friction and effortless movement;
Compact structural dimensions help maximize the hook's lifting range;
Offers advantages such as energy efficiency, labor savings, a small footprint, and ease of operation and maintenance. Operating Procedures for Mobile Jib Cranes
Maintain a safe distance from ditches and pits during crane operation, parking, and travel;
Position the crane on level, solid ground during operation; the inclination of the crane body must not exceed the manufacturer's specified limits;
During travel, place the boom on its support bracket, and secure the hook to the retaining line, ensuring the line is taut;
Extend the outriggers before lifting; after lifting operations are complete, lower the boom onto its support bracket before retracting the outriggers;
Lock the clutch control lever during operation;
Maintain a clearance greater than the minimum safety distance between the crane body/load and any overhead power lines;
Operate the boom smoothly; avoid sudden braking. Check boom deflection when operating near maximum load capacity;
When traveling with a load, keep the load directly in front of the crane and close to the ground; the load weight must not exceed two-thirds of the rated capacity; use guide ropes to steady the load and travel slowly.
Main Components of the Mobile Jib Crane
The mobile jib crane consists of a cycloidal pin-wheel reducer, a jib rotation mechanism, a vertical column, a control mechanism, a base, an electric chain (or wire rope) hoist, a pair of wheel assemblies, a counterweight, four wheels (drive and driven), and electrical equipment.
Control Mechanism: Crane travel direction is controlled by a steering mechanism; the control lever is integrated with the wheel assembly, and the operator gently moves the lever in the desired direction of travel to change the crane's heading.
Travel Mechanism: The BZY-type crane moves via a single-stage cycloidal pin-wheel reducer that directly drives the wheels; the standard travel speed is 15 meters per minute, though actual speed may vary slightly depending on wheel size. The travel mechanism of the BZY-type crane is not driven by a gear reducer; instead, the crane is moved by manual pushing.
Main structural components of the mobile jib crane:
1. Trolley buffer; 2. Power supply cable; 3. Emergency stop; 4. Nameplate; 5. Conductive slip ring; 6. Power socket; 7. Counterweight; 8. Adjustment bolt; 9. Forklift transport frame.
